Department: Grande Sports World Status: Non Exempt (Hourly)
Position: Sports Building and Field Attendant

REPORTS TO: Director of Sports
PLACE OF WORK: Grande Sports World

Responsible for setting up sport fields for training session, along with providing hospitality and goodwill to visitors and guests. Learn all aspects of the facilities that we have to offer at the Resort and Academy and to be able to give general assistance with all inquiries in a friendly and welcoming manner. Having a flexible schedule is required, including weekends and Holidays.


1. To ensure sports fields are set up properly prior to training sessions/events.
2. To work directly with Barca coaches/staff members to ensure their equipment and set up needs are met.
3. Answer telephones, handle inquiries, take messages, and be sure they are promptly directed to the correct person on property. Keep the communication flowing at all times.
4. Responsible for keeping the property looking crisp and fresh, pick up any trash that may have blown on the grounds, keep an eye on the locker room areas and sports equipment area to be sure they are picked up and freshened, so that the Academy is in good shape for any guests who wish to be taken on a tour.
5. Work with all departments on property, including Sports Medicine Department, Sales, Golf Pro Shop,
Housekeeping, Engineering/Maintenance, and Golf Course Maintenance, to ensure that any issues are resolved promptly.
4. Excellent communication skills to welcome visitors, guests and staff by promoting the facilities, and being a welcoming host to everyone on property.
5. Keep an eye out for any possible security infractions, check guests in and out of the Academy and be sure that everyone is accounted for. Screen deliveries; be sure all areas of the Academy are secure at all times.
6. Maintain positive guest relations.
7. Be a team player.
8. Seeing the “bigger picture” is essential.
9. Any other duties as assigned


1. High School Graduate
2. Knowledge of computers, email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook programs.
3. Sports background or knowledge of sports, such as football, soccer, golf, tennis, lacrosse.
4. Clean Driver’s License to drive company van.



Ability to promote the resort and academy; become familiar with all products and services of the resort and academy.
Ability to follow direction and be part of the Francisco Grande team.
Ability to answer phones politely and give directions and information on the facilities as requested.
Ability to use tact and discretion with our guests.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests in all environments.
Ability to handle situations in a calm and professional manner.
Have a high degree of integrity.
Knowledge of sports.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to physically walk the Resort, Academy and surrounding areas.
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, pull, push, and be physically able to move and set up sporting equipment.
Ability to write reports clearly and concisely.
Computer skills to include reporting and email
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests in all environments.
Attention to detail.
Professional appearance, following the “Standards of Appearance” for the Resort.
