The Facility and IT Technician is to report to the Director of Information Technology and General Manager, providing technology recommendations and reporting on all systems. The IT Manager is required to have in-depth knowledge of personal computers, servers, and network architecture. The IT Manager is required to display the capability to interact with all types of software and applications in usage, implementation, and troubleshooting general issues. In this position, you will maintain and enhance business-computing systems as well as responsible for providing installation, configuration, diagnostic, and problem resolution for all network devices, smartphones, printers, and miscellaneous technology services. This position requires a self-motivated professional looking for a challenging position within a friendly team environment and can provide excellent guest services in a hotel/resort environment. Must be available for after-hours and weekend support.


The following includes, but not limited to, the essential duties and responsibilities for this job description:

  • Install, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the network infrastructure consisting of Sophos Appliances, Network Switches, and Ubiquiti systems.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Server 2008 and up (DC, AD, DNS, DHCP), Microsoft Office 365, and Google systems.
  • Manage and maintain personal computing environment consisting of Windows and Mac systems.
  • Manage and maintain the Maestro PMS, Silverware and foreUP golf systems. Including Credit Card systems.
  • Manage and maintain the Hotel’s PBX and telephone system.
  • Maintain business continuity and provide timely disaster recovery.
  • Provide high availability and support to all network services.
  • Prevent, detect, or curtail security threats.
  • Optimize commercial guest internet delivery and services.
  • Provide high availability telecommunications service and support.
  • Provide efficient and prompt guest/client AV support.
  • Maintain highest availability of guest services (TV/Music).
  • Enhance end-user security and efficiency.
  • Consult and coordinate any changes with Director of Information Technology
  • Manage the electronic door lock system (Encoder and Programming Module)
  • Manage and maintain the hotel’s TV system, Satellite Music systems, In-house sound and PA systems.
  • Responsible for managing IT costs and budget as defined by the General Manager. Sterility. Facility.
  • Negotiate with vendors: Request, review, recommend and authorize contracts for technology systems.
  • Provide communication of all major IT matters and budget with the Director of Information Systems.
  • Provide the General Manager with quarterly analysis and recommendation report of the current state of the network, computer and business systems, telephone systems, and the Internet services.
  • Be an active member of the Francisco Grande management team.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures with a professional appearance in accordance with the Hotel’s “Appearance Standards Guidelines”.
  • Must be on-call support 24 hrs x 7 days a week.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Information Systems.


High School Education required.
Associates degree and/or Microsoft Certified in related field with one (3) year of prior job experience is required. Three (5) years of a prior job experience as a Network Administrator can be considered in lieu of education.

Ability to lift over 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear.

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
